Ecuador Missions Trip - July 08

July 29 - August 1, 2008
At 8pm I preached at Centro Evangelistico
Church. About 400 or 500
people were there. It was low attendance for this church tonight, but high
attention to the Word. I preached on freedom. Liberation from 1) the lack of
clear direction in your life, 2) breaking the chains of sin habits, and 3)
breaking the chains of passivity - were the key elements of the message. The
text was primarily found in portions of Ephesians 3, 4 and 5. Somewhere between
100 and 120 people responded to the altar. God did many wonderful things, from
salvation to deliverance and from repentance to dealing with a host of other
issues. Fernando/Gardenia and Byron/Leanora Lopez helped me in the ministry time.
I remember one young mother who just lost a child 14 days earlier. My heart
broke; I had Gardenia minister to her.
Sunday, July 27, 2008 - It is now about midnight in Ecuador. Sundays are busy days here and today was no exception. I preached this morning in the church of Pastor Stalyn Gordon and his wife Loreena. I preached again on the Second Coming of Jesus.The Lord healed quite a few and at least 1 marriage was healed. This young couple came forward, a baby in his arms, and you could tell there just wasn't any peace between the 2 of them. So I told them to forgive one another and that I would be back in 1 minute. When I returned there was light in their eyes - they did the work with the help of the Lord and just a little encouragement from me.

Pat and Marcel showed up at the church, with Fernando, during the time of our altar ministry. Pat was able to greet the church and then helped with the prayer time. He had a blessed time as well.
